About the Foundation
The Trent McCleary - Patrick Marleau - Travis Moen Sport and Recreation Foundation began with a golf tournament to raise funding for the Swift Current Outdoor Hockey League. The first year of the tournament was an overwhelming success and the amount raised was larger than needed to run the Outdoor Hockey League. The additional proceeds from the golf tournament were used to create this foundation in 2001. The mission was to support athletes from Southern Saskatchewan in their sporting endeavors. Athletes or teams may apply for funding if they meet the guidelines set out by the Foundation.

Guidelines for Individual funding:
|
|
- Youth up to the age of 18 will be considered for financial support.
- Individuals will be limited to a maximum of $1000.00 support per calendar year.
- Funds will be limited to young people within a radius of 150 km from Swift Current.
- Priority will be based on the financial needs of the individual.
- Applications will be looked at on a first come, first serve basis.
- Applications may cover: equipment, registration, travel and accommodations.
- Individuals will be asked to produce receipts for funds used.
- The foundation will allocate funds throughout the calendar year.
- Please allow thirty (30) days for the processing of applications.
